If you are one of the unfortunate customers of eCost please remember - eCost will CostU - both in time and money. You think you might save a couple bucks or even a lot of bucks, but you will end up lossing more than the initial offer on the payment screen.

I ordered a weight set that came in a carrying case. I informed eCost of the following message: "The plastic case that holds the weights and bar was not only crushed but shattered from poor delivery handling and is unable to store the equipment properly. Is it possible that you or I can order from Cap Barbell a plastic case (without weights) to replace the one that is destroyed. Ordering the case without the weights may insure its arrival in proper condition. If this is not possible maybe another agreement may be reached."

Yes my product travel case is still indeed destroyed as it was during shipment and that has not changed. I have suggested that instead of sending this product back (shipping cost of appox. $83 on a $95 item) they may want to discount or find and ship a new case. I have contacted this company several times over the internet and the phone and still I get no coherant response - I only recieve out-sourced prefab responses that are of no use with people on the other end of the phone who don't know what is going on and who don't know how to connect me with someone who does. I have waited over a week past their original 24-72 hours for updates. I now understand that I got the best deal on the product and I also got the "best" WORST service.

They decided to have me return the product in the box it shipped in on my own accord. I will put this in the flimsy tattered box they shipped it in (per there request) and wrap it in packing tape - what a joke it is - shattered pieces and 100 pounds in workout plates. This would be like shipping rocks in a thin paper box - Ha! How much more incompetant and horrible could doing business with eCost be. They will send me an RA label and they ask that I call DHL for a pickup on my property. I will recieve a full refund and no payment for my troubles. Oh, wait, they did offer me a discount with my next shopping experience at eCost - are they kidding! What a poor joke on a sucker like me.
Another $50 that competitors offered for the same product would have been quite enough and far worth the lack of hassle and negligence this company has to offer.
PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, spend a little more money for far less hassle at a competitor. |
